SNVB is a quality accredited volunteer recruitment and placement agency operating across South Northamptonshire district, with over 200 volunteering opportunities available in the district at any one time. We provide a matching service between people wishing to give some of their time and agencies looking for extra help.

SNVB also has a strategic position within the district as a local voluntary sector infrastructure support organisation and, as such, is in a good position co-ordinate the activities of the volunteers and the various other agencies involved in the Safe n Sound scheme.

We have been given a two-year grant by the Energy Savings Trust to fund our part of the programme. Other partners are also contributing significant resources to the programme.

In particular SNVB’s role in Safe ’n Sound is to:

• manage the overall programme
• recruit and deploy the volunteers
• co-ordinate the activities of the partner agencies
• ensure the requirements of the Energy Savings Trust are met.
